Warnings
- This is for the GSM iPhone 4 ONLY.
- To revert back to iOS 7, you will have to create another reset file from Pluvia.
Required Tools
- A macOS computer running macOS 10.14 or higher
- An iPhone 4
- A 30-pin USB cable
- Pluvia
- iOS 6.1.3 firmware
Restoration + Jailbreak Guide
- Download Pluvia from here
- Once downloaded, open up a terminal window
- Type cd <drag Pluvia-Master folder into terminal>
- Press Enter or Return
- Run ./make_ipsw.sh <Drag iOS 6.1.3 firmware> jailbreak
- Wait for the process to complete; the new iOS 6.1.3 firmware that Pluvia creates should be located on your desktop.
- Once complete, do not close the terminal window and connect your iPhone 4.
- Put your iPhone 4 into DFU mode by holding both the home and power buttons for 8 seconds, and then releasing the power button, but keep holding the home button for 8 seconds.
- In the terminal window with your iPhone 4 in DFU mode, run ./restore.sh <Drag the newly created iOS 6.1.3 firmware>
- Wait for the restoration to finish and your iPhone should boot up into iOS 6 untethered.
Reverting back to iOS 7
- Direct the terminal to Pluvia again by running cd <drag Pluvia-Master folder into terminal>
- Create the patched iOS 7 firmware by running ./make_ipsw.sh <Drag iOS 7.1.2 firmware> reset
- Restore by running ./restore.sh <Drag the newly created iOS 7.1.2 firmware>
